PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Pilots Athletics announced on Monday their multi-year partnership with WM ahead of the 2024-25 academic year.
"UP is well known within the Portland area and highly respected," Waste Management Director of Operations Adam Winston said. "We value our partnership to provide our environmental services to the university, while showcasing our company's brand during various sporting events. We hope to be the sustainable vendor of choice with the university for years to come."
WM, previously known as Waste Management, has been one of the top providers of proper waste management since their founding in 1968. They were one of the first companies to fully embrace integrated waste and have grown to be one of the largest waste management businesses in the United States. They are the largest recycler of post-consumer materials and a leader in beneficial use of landfill gas.
Over the years, WM has been a leader in cultivating a culture of respect for all people. Along with being at the forefront of sustainability in waste management, WM have been proponents of strong diversity and inclusion, pushing forward to create a world that is diverse in thought and people.
