PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Pilots Women's Soccer goalkeeper Bre Norris was named to the United Soccer Coaches Goalkeepers to Watch list for the first time in her career.
Norris was named the WCC Goalkeeper of the Year last season after a stellar year between the sticks. She was the first Pilot ever to win the award – which was introduced in 2011 – and was also an All-WCC First Team selection. Norris led the conference in goals-against average (.529), shutouts (11) and save percentage (.836), and nationally she was eighth in shutouts and 11
th in goals-against average. Norris was also a United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team selection, and this year she was named to the All-WCC Preseason Team.
Portland opens the season on the road against the Cal Poly Mustangs down in San Luis Obispo. The two teams play on Thursday, Aug. 15 with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Check PortlandPilots.com for live stats and video options.
