PORTLAND, Ore. – ESPN Events announced the bracket for the 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational on Thursday. University of Portland will open the tournament against the University of South Florida on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 11:30 a.m. (PT) on ESPN2. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.
Ohio and Middle Tennessee are the other two teams on Portland's side of the bracket, while Bradley, Princeton, Texas State, and Wright State complete the field.
South Florida won a school-record 25 games and claimed its first conference regular season title in program history last year. The Bulls return three players who started at least 13 games, including
Kobe Knox, who started all 33 games, and
Jayden Reid, who was named to the AAC All-Freshman Team.
The 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational will be played November 21-24 at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. All games will be presented across the ESPN platforms. Owned and operated by ESPN Events, the Myrtle Beach Invitational is an eight-team, 12-game bracketed tournament. The semifinals are Nov. 22 with the championship and final games on Nov. 24.

Portland head coach Shantay Legans returns for his fourth year at the helm and brings back four key rotation players that helped the Pilots advance to the second round of the 2024 West Coast Conference post-season tournament. Vukasin Masic (12.5 ppg) is the top returning scorer, while sophomore Bol Dengdit averaged 9.3 points and 7.1 rebounds during league play. The Pilots added three impact transfers, have three players coming off redshirt and welcome eight true freshmen to the 2024-25 roster.
