PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Pilots men's soccer had six players garner academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators: Joe Highfield, Efetobo Aror, Ethan Zamora, Wylie Trujillo, Micaah Garnette and Miguel-Angel Hernandez.

In the midfield, he was a crucial part of a Portland defense that has allowed just 11 goals this year, the fewest in a season since 1988, while also managing the offense. Aror makes the team for the first time in his career.
Zamora gets his first nod with the All-District team. Zamora has played in 18 games with 12 starts this year, helping anchor the back line defensively while notching a goal and four assists. His four assists are tied for fourth on the Pilots. Zamora also earned WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention this year.
Trujillo has played in 18 matches this season with 16 starts. During that span, he's posted two assists while patrolling the midfield. Trujillo earned All-WCC honors for the first time this season, garnering honorable mention, and also earned WCC All-Academic honorable mention for the second time in his career.
Garnette is the only Pilot to repeat as a CSC Academic All-District selection. Garnette played in all 18 games this year with nine assists, posting a goal and five assists. His five assists are a career high and also are tied for second on the team. Garnette earned WCC All-Academic honorable mention this season.
