CORVALLIS, OR -- The Pilots could not overcome an opposing Beavers offense Saturday on the road losing to Oregon State in three sets (17-25, 20-25, 15-25). The loss dropped Portland's record to 14-15 overall and 9-9 in WCC action.
Maui Robins finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Pilots attack. Portland got nine digs from Jeryn Hildenbrand to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-17. Portland trailed by as many as 10 points as Oregon State never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up just once before the Beavers took control.
SET 2 | A 25-20 second-set loss put Portland in a 2-0 hole in the match. The Pilots lost the second set in spite of a strong performance on the attacking side. Portland registered a .326 attack percentage with 17 kills in the set loss.
SET 3 | Portland couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Pilots dropped the first point and never took the lead before falling in the set 25-15.
