MALIBU, Calif. – The unbeaten streak continues, with the Portland Pilots defeating the Pepperdine Waves 1-0 on the road for their sixth straight unbeaten result and third straight win. The victory puts the Pilots at 9-3-6 on the year and 6-1-3 in WCC play, their highest win total in conference play since 2013.
Aliyah Dockter scored the game-winning goal for the Pilots, her second goal of the year and her second game-winner. She becomes the fourth Pilot this season to post multiple goals this year. With the shutout, the Pilots reach double-digit shutouts for the third time since 2022.
How it Happened
The goal for Portland came in the 64
th minute. Pepperdine attempted to clear a ball sent into the box, but the clearance landed right at the feet of Aliyah Dockter. Dockter sent a missile to the top-left corner of the goal that no one could stop, giving Dockter her second goal of the year. Portland kept the Waves in check for the 1-0 win.
