SEATTLE, Wash. - Laura Pellicoro was named the MPSF (Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) female athlete of the week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.Â
Pellicoro broke her own school record in the mile, clocking 4:25.60 at the UW Invitational in Seattle, Wash last weekend. This time is six seconds faster than her previous program-best of 4:31.39 and currently stands as the fastest mile in the NCAA this season. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Pellicoro.Â
