PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots picked up their first win of the season in the rematch against the Southern Oregon Raiders. They improve to 1-4 on the year after the win.

Portland's 4s started strong with a win in two sets. Valerie Bruk and Elena Bullemer scored 21-11 and 21-14. The 2s were the next flights to finish, trading points the whole way but ultimately falling short 19-21 and 18-21. Emily Wood and Annika Stammberger in flight 1 battled hard with an extended first set, earning another win in two sets with score of 30-28, 21-18 while Michela Strati and Melissa Cormack fell in the 5s, setting the match two set apiece. The Portland 3s pushed it to three sets in their flight, with Elizabeth Ortiz and Taylor Helle securing the match for the Pilots, winning 21-13, 22-24, 15-8 .
