FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Portland Pilots struggled at the plate, ultimately falling 10-0 to the No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks. The Razorbacks clinched the series with the win.
Kaden Segel (1-2) got the ball to start for Portland (5-10) and took the loss. Offensively, the Pilots posted just four hits on the day, with Brady Bean, Curtis Hebert, Cole Katayama-Stall and Doyle Kane all earning base knocks.
How it Happened
The Pilots struggled at the plate as Arkansas blew the game open in in the fourth inning. Portland gave up two runs in the third and another five in the fourth off two home runs. The Razorbacks homered again in the sixth and seventh, handing Portland the loss in seven innings.
Game Notes
» Portland pitchers faced 33 Arkansas hitters in the game, allowing eight ground balls and seven fly balls while striking out four.
» Four different Pilots earned hits on the day: Brady Bean, Curtis Hebert, Cole Katayama-Stall and Doyle Kane.
» Cole Katayama-Stall has seven hits on the week dating back to Tuesday's showdown against the Washington Huskies.
» This is the second loss of the year for Segel.
