BOISE, Idaho – The Pilots faced a challenging field at the Boise State Classic this weekend, taking on five strong programs across three days of play. The Pilots dropped all five dual matches in Boise.
 
Portland's weekend opened against Saint Mary's, where the flight 2 duo of Leonie Freytag and Elin Larsson secured a straight-set victory (21-19, 21-19). The remaining matches went in favor of the Gaels, with the Pilots falling 4-1 overall.
 
The Pilots then faced Colorado Mesa, who swept all five courts. Freytag and Larsson in flight 2 pushed their match to three sets but came up short, 21-17, 12-21, 15-10.
 
Saturday featured a matchup with CSU Bakersfield, with the Roadrunners taking a 5-0 win. Several matches featured competitive stretches, including a tight second set at the No. 2 spot.
 
Sunday concluded with a tough doubleheader against host Boise State and Arizona. Boise State controlled the morning dual with a 5-0 sweep, followed by Arizona closing out the weekend with another 5-0 win in the afternoon.
 
The Pilots return home for their final matches of the season, hosting Oregon on Wednesday, April 16 at 12 p.m., followed by Senior Day against Corban on Friday, April 18 at noon.
