SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Portland Pilots fell 6-0 in Game 2 against the San Francisco Dons on Saturday, evening the series.
Carter Gaston look the loss for Portland (21-25, 12-8 WCC). Gaston conceded four runs in four innings, striking out four. Portland totaled just three hits on the day, two of them courtesy of Zach Toglia.
How it Happened
San Francisco got the scoring started in this one, bringing two runners home in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead.
The Pilots gave up two more runs on a double in the fourth inning. Portland struggled to get the bats going the whole way through, getting just one hit in the final five innings and three total. San Francisco hit two solo homers in the seventh and eighth innings respectively on their way to a 6-0 victory.
