COLLEGE STATION, Texas – In one of the most competitive heats of the day, Mark Milner clocked 3:46.65 in the 1,500m prelim to finish 8th overall and secure a spot in the quarterfinals. Milner advanced as one of the next four fastest times outside of the top five automatic qualifiers—each of the top eight times in the event came from his heat. He returns to the track on Friday at 3:15 p.m. for the quarterfinal round.
In the same event, teammate Jonas Price recorded a time of 3:58.32 to place 44th overall. In the men's 10,000m semifinal, Jona Bodirsky finished 32nd in 29:23.75, while Bradley Peloquin placed 46th with a time of 31:12.92. All three athletes concluded their seasons at College Station.
On Thursday, the women take the track with two events on the schedule. In the 800m first round, Laura Pellicoro will race at 5:50 p.m., entering the meet with a seed time of 2:01.19. Later in the evening, Juliette Forstrom is set to compete in the 10,000m semifinal at 7:10 p.m with a qualifying time of 33:34.61.
