COLLEGE STATION, Texas – On the final day of men's competition at the NCAA Division I West Regional, Matt Strangio delivered a dominant performance in the 5,000m semifinal, winning his heat in 13:25.98 to break the E.B. Cushing Stadium facility record and secure his place at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. Strangio will return to the national stage on Friday, Jun 13, in the 5,000m final.

After advancing through a highly competitive first round in the 1,500m quarterfinal, Mark Milner wrapped up his season with a time of 3:50.34, placing 20th overall. Giuliano Scasso closed out his season in the steeplechase, finishing 33rd in 9:07.72 during the quarterfinal round.

The regional meet concludes Saturday with Laura Pellicoro returning to the track for the women's 800m quarterfinal at 5:05 p.m. A top-three finish from her heat or one of the next six fastest times will send her to the NCAA Championships in Eugene.
