PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots earned their second win of the season on Sunday, defeating the CSUN Matadors 1-0 at Merlo Field. The Pilots improve to 2-2-2 on the year.
Hailey Still scored the game-winner and the lone goal for the Pilots, her first of the season and eighth as a Pilot.
How it Happened
Portland earned the game-winner in the 38
th minute. Mao Ito launched a cross into the box that Hailey Still battled for in the air. After one big bounce, Still got the second jump and knocked it in with her head to give Portland a 1-0 lead.
The second half saw the Pilots continue to put pressure on the Matadors, putting four shots on frame. The Pilots fended off the Matadors defensively to secure their second win of the season.

- Portland posted their third shutout of the season. It's the third shutout for Sophia Hills as well.
