PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Pilots Volleyball lost to the Santa Clara Broncos in three sets (25-19, 25-15, 25-21). The loss snaps a five-match winning streak for the Pilots.
Kala Chock recorded a team high for Portland with 12 kills. Chock and Havannah Hoeft tied for a team high of eight digs and Hoeft recorded 33 assists, another team high.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | Haddock had four of Portland's 14 kills and Hoeft recorded 13 assists. Shaylee Stephens had a hitting percentage of .750 with three kills in the first set. Portland tallied two service aces and 11 digs as a team, Tinoa Woodwood-Hart and Chock with three digs each. Portland played a close game, but Santa Clara managed to create a gap at the end of the set and took the set 25-19.
SET 2 | Hoeft recorded eight assists, setting up the Pilots for a total of 10 kills. Ellie Diehl Palmer spiked down four kills and Hoeft had three of Portland six digs. Santa Clara took an early lead and won the set 25-15.
SET 3 | Chock tallied a set high across both teams with six kills. Hoeft had 12 assists and Portland totaled three service aces in this set from Jeryn Hildenbrand, Haddock and Chock. The Pilots recorded 14 digs with Hildenbrand and Chock each having four. Santa Clara took the set 25-21.
