LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Portland Pilots scored two runs in the ninth to eke out the 4-3 win over the LMU Lions. The win completes the sweep for the Pilots, putting them at 14-7 overall and 3-0 in WCC play. Portland has now won 12 of their last 14 games and six in a row, their longest streak of the season.
Will Labonte started for Portland, going 5.1 innings with three runs allowed, five hits and six strikeouts. His strikeout total was just one shy of his career high. Morgan Codron officially earned the win – his first of the year – going 2.2 innings with no runs, hits or walks conceded and three strikeouts. Alex Via earned his fourth save of the season as well.

How it Happened
