SAN BRUNO, Calif. –Portland Pilots Women's Soccer had three selections to the All-WCC Preseason Team on Wednesday. The selections for the Pilots include defender Hailey Bagby, midfielder Aliyah Dockter and defender Violet Rademacher. As a team, Portland was selected to finish second in the West Coast Conference in the annual coaches preseason poll as well.
Bagby is heading into her fourth year on The Bluff following her junior season which saw her earn All-WCC Honorable Mention and start in 16 games for the Pilots. She scored two goals in 1,364 minutes played.
Dockter also made All-WCC Honorable Mention while playing 16 games for the Pilots. Doctor has been a two time WCC All-Academic Team member during her time with Portland and also was a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region selection, making the second team.
Rademacher made the All-WCC First Team last year for Portland and helped lead a dominant Pilots defense. Rademacher started 16 games for the Pilots scoring seven goals and an assist leading the team in goals and points. Rademacher was just named to the 2026 United Soccer Coaches Defenders to Watch List and earned All-WCC First Team and All-West Region Second Team honors last year. Rademacher became Portland's first United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American since 2009 .
Bagby and Rademacher helped anchor a that ranked second in the conference in both goals-against average (.632) and shutout percentage (.526), placing 11th and 22nd nationally in those respective categories.
This year will feature another new edition of the WCC as the University of Denver Pioneers join the conference and are picked to finish seventh in the coaches poll. Pepperdine was picked to finish first in the WCC with 9-of-10 first place votes and 81 points. Seattle drew the final first place vote but finished fifth in the coaches poll with 54 points. The Pilots finished tied for second with 61 points along with Santa Clara.
Saint Mary's was picked to finish fourth with 60 points, Loyola Marymount was picked to finish sixth with 39 points, and to round out the bottom third was San Diego with 28 points, Pacific with 15 points and San Francisco with 13 points.
The Pilots finished last year 10-3-6 making it the fifth year in a row they have won at least nine games and third 10-plus win season in four years. This included a 7-1-3 record against WCC opponents to finish tied for second in the league. Their second-place finish was the highest for the program since 2013 while their seven wins were their highest since that same year and their best winning percentage (.682) since that 2013 season as well.
Portland will play the Oregon Ducks in an exhibition match at Merlo Field on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m., with tickets available now at PortlandPilots.com/Tickets.
Their first regular season matchup will be on the road against the Washington Huskies on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.
