CHENEY, Wash. - Portland Pilots Volleyball holds a four-match winning streak after defeating the Eastern Washington Eagles in a sweep (25-17, 27-25, 25-22). The Pilots went undefeated at the Eastern Volleyball Tournament, taking first over Eastern Washington and CSU Bakersfield. Portland has now gone undefeated in two tournaments this season.
Kala Chock recorded 13 kills, a match high across both teams, and Taina Kaauwai set a match high across both teams with her hitting percentage of .529. Havannah Hoeft set two match highs across both teams with 14 digs and 35 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | Robins had five kills, Chock and Kaauwai put down four kills each and Hoeft with six digs and 10 assists. Portland put down five service aces, Maui Robins and Jeryn Hildenbrand with two aces each. The Pilots had a seven-point run mid-set, bringing them from a three-point lead to a 10-point lead. Portland won the set 25-17
SET 2 | Diehl Palmer spiked down five kills and the Pilots had 14 digs as a team, with Robins tallying three out of the 14. Chock had three of Portland's seven blocks. Portland had a five-point run mid-match, giving them a six-point lead at 13-17. The Eagles managed to tie the set at 25-25, but it wasn't enough and the Pilots took the match at 27-25
SET 3 | Chock and Kaauwai recorded five kills each and Hoeft set her team up with 14 assists. Portland's 23 digs this set were a match high, Hoeft and Woodward-Hart tallying six digs each. Portland won the set at 25-22
