No. 17 Badgers Score in Final Seconds to Beat Pilots 2-1

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots conceded a goal in the final six seconds to fall 2-1 to the No. 17 Wisconsin Badgers. The loss puts Portland at 0-3-1 on the year.

Efetobo Aror scored in the 56th minute, his first goal of the year and third of his career. Portland outshot the Badgers 20-6 on the day, putting 10 shots on goal, and had seven corners to the Badgers' three. The loss snapped an 18-game regular season unbeaten streak at home.

How it Happened

Portland came out on the offensive, but it would be Wisconsin who struck first, scoring off a corner kick in the 26th minute. Portland had nine shots to Wisconsin's three, but still trailed 1-0 at half.

After the half, Portland continued to pummel the Badgers, finally breaking through in the 56th minute. Off the corner from Isaac Emojong, the ball bounced to the top of the box to the feet of Efetobo Aror. The midfielder sent it through for the score, tying things up at one a piece.

Portland looked poised to earn the draw until the final 10 seconds, when Emile Kisse careened past the Pilot defense and sent a screamer into the back of the net with four seconds left on the clock. The Pilots would fall 2-1.
