2018: 15 appearances and seven starts as a redshirt junior … claimed one win and a pair of saves … averaged 5.4 strikeouts per 9.0 innings … worked 43.1 innings overall … tossed 3.0 scoreless and hitless innings, while fanning five to earn the save against Penn State (Mar. 4) … tossed 2.0 flawless innings of relief with 3 K’s at UC Irvine (Apr. 13).
2017: As a redshirt sophomore, made a dozen starts and had five appearances out of the bullpen ... Finished the year with one win and 51 strikeouts over 68.3 innings ... started the year as the midweek starter before getting slotted into the Sunday role ... tied for the best strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.0) on the team while posting the second best walks-per-nine rate (2.24) among pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched ... had two or fewer walks in every appearance ... allowed two earned runs or fewer in six of his first seven appearances ... earned his lone win of the season on Mar. 26 against New Mexico State, tying season highs in innings (7.3) and earned runs (two) ... striking out a career-high seven at Saint Mary’s (Feb. 28).
2016: Made seven appearances and two starts ... K’d 13 in 13.1 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts... didn't appear until after Mar. 29 due to injury ... was granted a medical redshirt.
2015: Made eight appearances as a true freshman, including one start ... in 16.2 innings pitched, had 3-0 record, 2.16 ERA, and 10 strikeouts … in his one start, he earned the win after allowing just one earned run and four hits in a 4.1 inning outing against Pepperdine ... didn't allow a run in seven of his eight relief appearances ... best outing came on May 16 against UC Irvine, when he fired 3.1 shutout innings in a 3-2 win.
PACIFIC GROVE HS: Pitched and played first base for the Breakers ... as a senior, went 6-2 with a 0.88 ERA, five complete games and 78 strikeouts in 56 innings ... went an undefeated 14-0 as a junior with a 0.91 ERA; had four complete games, three shutouts, and 92 strikeouts in 77 innings ... was named Mission Trail Athletic League Pitcher of the Year after his senior year ... Breakers went 31-0 and won the Division III Championship in 2013 ... was a MaxPreps Second Team All-American Small School and Cal-Hi Sports First Team All-State Small School selection.
