Biography
PORTLAND 2018-19: Made 31 starts and appeared in all 32 games… led the team in assists for the second straight season and ranked eighth in the West Coast Conference with 3.3 assists per game… 11.5 points per game average was second on the roster and included four 20-plus outings and 19 games in double figures… second on the team in steals (29)… knocked down 6-of-8 three-pointers and finished with a career-high 23 points in a come-from-behind victory at CSUN (11/17)… 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting and 4-of-5 from three-point range against North Texas (11/10)… scored 22 points and drilled 5-of-7 threes in a win over Sacramento State (12/8)… finished with 20 points and went a perfect 13-of-13 at the free throw line at LMU (1/5)… swiped a career best five steals against Seattle U (12/17)… Portland’s active leader in points scored, minutes played, steals, free throws made and three-pointers made entering the 2019-20 season.
PORTLAND 2017-18: Started 26 games and appeared in all 32 as a true freshman… led the team in assists (78) and second in steals (30)… ranked 12th in the WCC in assists per game (2.4)… reached double figures scoring nine times, including a season-high 18 points vs. Hartford (12/19)… led the team in assists in 12 games… scored 15 points and grabbed a season-high six rebounds while being the primary defender against All-American Trae Young against Oklahoma (11/24)… went 5-for-7 from three-point range for 15 points at Saint Mary’s (1/27)… went for 12 points, four assists and three steals in road win at Loyola Marymount (1/20).
ST. JOSEPH HS: Named the Most Valuable Player of the PAC 8 League as a senior after averaging 23.4 points, 7.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game… led the Knights to a 24-6 overall record as a senior and CIF Southern Section Appearance for the second straight season… three-time All-Pac 8 League First Team, three time All-CIF Southern Section First Team, and named the 2016 CIF Southern Section Division 5A Most Valuable Player after leading St. Joseph to the 2016 CIF title as a junior after leading the team to a school record 31 wins… helped the Knights to tournament titles at the 2015 Vegas Invitational and 2015 White Mountain Holiday Classic as Walker was named all-tournament in both events… averaged 18.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game as a junior… overcame a broken leg that forced him to miss his entire freshman season, but bounced back as a sophomore by averaging 18.7 points and 4.9 assists per game… erupted for a career high 45 points versus Chaparral High School as a junior and scored 37 points against Atascadero High School as a sophomore.
PERSONAL: Born on July 10, 1997 in Carolina, Puerto Rico… son of Brenda and Julio Isaac Walker… moved to Santa Maria, Calif. as a freshman in high school with host family, Alicia and Ray Murillo… major is social work.
