Michael Wolf joined the Portland staff in April of 2006 and is at the forefront of using technology as a teaching and development tool for the Pilots. After serving eight years as an assistant coach, Wolf became Special Assistant to the Head Coach in September of 2014.
Prior to his hiring at Portland, Wolf spent two years as head coach of Academy Charter High School in Lake Como, N.J. Wolf has also been the director of The Hoop Group since 2003, organizing and coordinating numerous high-profile basketball camps including the Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp in Stroudsburg, Pa.

Wolf was a graduate assistant at Stanford from 1997 to 1998, assisting the Cardinal in their run to the Final Four in ‘98 alongside Reveno. He served as associate head coach at Delaware Valley College (Doylestown, Pa.) in 1998-99. Wolf had two stints as an assistant coach at Harvard-Westlake School (North Hollywood, Calif.) from 1994 to 1997 and 1999 to 2002. During his tenure, Harvard-Westlake won five sectional championships, two state championships (1996, 1997) and was ranked as high as No. 4 nationally in 1997.

Wolf played four years at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. and earned his bachelor’s degree in English and education in 1994. Wolf ranks eighth all-time on the school’s career three-pointer made list and tenth all-time in three-point percentage (.377).

He completed his master’s in educational psychology from Stanford in 1998.

At Harvard School in North Hollywood, Calif., Wolf was All-San Fernando Valley league in basketball, baseball and football. His senior year, the basketball team finished 23-3 and ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section.
