2014: All-WCC Second Team … WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … had one goal and three assists on the year, while also helping the Pilots post four shutouts … his goal was a thunderous strike against Duquesne and it was featured that day on
ESPN SportCenter’s Top 10 … it also allowed the Pilots to tie the Dukes 1-1 … all three assists were recorded against Saint Mary’s with two of them coming during a 5-1 win in Moraga on Oct. 3.
2013: All-WCC Honorable Mention and WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … started all 20 games and led the team with six assists … also had one goal, which was a game-winner during a 2-1 win over Seattle (Sept. 15) … one of his assists came on the game-winner of a 3-2 win at USF (Oct. 4) … helped Pilots post five shutouts.
2012: WCC All-Freshman Team … made 13 starts and 18 appearances as a freshman … helped Pilots notch three shutouts, while also registering two assists … attempted 15 shots, seven on-frame … recorded first career assist during 2-1 win at LMU (Oct. 7) … assisted on the game-winner in 2-1 home win over San Diego (Nov. 4).
WEST LINN HS: Earned three letters for the Lions … was named the Three Rivers League Player of the League as a senior, while also garnering first-team all-state honors … in 2011, he accounted for 28 of the Lions’ 33 goals (17g, 11a), helping West Linn claim the league title … he is a two-time all-league first-team selection (2010 & 2011), he landed on the second team as a sophomore and he was league player of the year runner-up as a junior.
CLUB: Played with Willamette United before joining FC Portland in 2008 … advanced to regionals in 2010 and club nationals in 2011.
PERSONAL: Born on Aug. 8, 1994 in Tualatin, Ore. … parents are Nicole and Geoff Rhoads … major is biology … great grandfather Hudson Hellmich ran track and played baseball at the University of Illinois in the 1920’s; he also coached track and baseball at Washington University … great grandfather Herbert Rhoads played football at Wheaton and was a pitcher in the Chicago Cubs farm system in the 1920’s.
