OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: In 2008, he was selected to the Super-Y League North American Finals All-Tournament Team and was invited to the SYL National Camp … in 2006, he played for the Region IV ODP team, coached by UP Director of Soccer Bill Irwin … played with the Colorado ODP from 2003-06. 

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2010: All-WCC First Team selection … also earned WCC Winter All-Academic Honorable Mention … one of three Pilots to start all 19 games; has started all 62 games during his career at UP … two goals and one game-winner … anchored a backline that registered six shutouts … named WCC Player of the Week (Sept. 13) after scoring the game-winner during 2-1 win at No. 24 New Mexico on Sept .12; also named the New Mexico Invitational’s Defensive MVP and landed on the all-tournament team. 

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2009: Named to the All-WCC Second Team … one of three Pilots to start all 23 games … helped UP post five shutouts, while allowing just 0.95 goals per game … also scored four goals, including two game-winners … 11 of 19 shots were on-goal … first game-winner came during 3-1 in over No. 21 St. Louis on Sept. 6 … second game-winner was against Cal Poly, a 2-0 win on Sept. 25 … also scored during wins against LMU (Oct. 11) and Seattle (Nov. 12). 

UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2008: Named to the WCC All-Freshman Team, while garnering All-WCC Honorable Mention … one of six Pilots to start all 20 games … fifth on the team with two goals … his first career goal game during a 4-0 shutout of Fairleigh Dickinson on Aug. 31 … his second strike was Portland’s only goal during a 1-1 tie with 24th-ranked New Mexico on Sept. 19 … his equalizer against the Lobos came in the 84th minute. 

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HS: Earned four letters for coach Daniel Ibanez … set a school record with 20 goals and added seven assists during his senior year … scored 14 goals and added five assists as a junior in 2006 … was named to the All-Colorado Boys Soccer Team and the Class 5A All-State team in 2007 … a two-time selection to the All-Front Range Conference First Team (2006, 2007), he was voted conference player of the year in 2007 … helped lead the Lobos to the state semifinals in 2007 and to the quarterfinals in 2004 … a four-time selection to the academic all-state first team. 

CLUB TEAM: Was a team captain with the Colorado Arsenal (2000-03), the Colorado Extreme (2004-05), the Colorado Storm North (2006) and the Colorado Rapids Development Academy (2007-08) … helped win Colorado State Cups with the Colorado Extreme (2004-05) and with the Colorado Storm North (2006), advancing to regionals all three years … as starting center back, the Portland Timbers U-23’s go a perfect 20-0-0 and winning the USL’s Premier Development League championship; named to the PDL All-Conference Team. 

PERSONAL: Born on December 29, 1989 in Boulder, Colo. … parents are Mary and Steve Kawulok … major is marketing & management … cousins Chris and Mike Kawulok played football for Colorado State, while cousin Matt Kawulok played at San Diego State.
