COLLEGE OF CENTRAL FLORIDA 2018-20: Earned All-Mid-Florida Conference first team honors after averaging 13.1 points per game on 47 percent shooting from the field his sophomore season… helped the Patriots to a 25-7 overall record… a second team all-league pick as a freshman, he averaged 9.9 points on 51 percent shooting and made 24-of-66 three-pointers (.364).

ARCHBISHOP SHAW: A first-team All-Catholic League selection as a senior and two-time first-team all-district honoree.

PERSONAL: Born May 29, 1998 in Gretner, La… son of Everhelina Addison and Lionel Jones.

COACH PORTER ON JONES: "Latrell is a high-major athlete. He is explosive and good in transition. Latrell attacks the rim well and is a solid shooter. He has a good explosive jumper, is a solid perimeter shooter, and plays with a scorer's mentality. Latrell comes from a good JC program in a tough, highly-respected league."
 
JONES ON PICKING PORTLAND: "Coach Porter's NBA experience was intriguing and coach Geving was most consistently in touch with me throughout the year. I built strong relationships with the staff and it felt like Portland was the best option for me. The WCC is a good league, top 10 league in the nation and I'm excited to compete at that level. I am a big guard that can score, help with rebounding, and defend the opposing team's best player. I will bring athleticism and energy to the court."
