2013 NSCAA All-America Teams I
2013 NSCAA All-West Region Teams
PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland Pilots senior defender Amanda Frisbie was named to the 2013 NSCAA All-America First Team, which was announced on Friday morning. The 2013 MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist becomes Portland's first First Team All-American selection since 2009, when both Michelle Enyeart and Sophie Schmidt earned that distinction.
A forward for her entire career, Frisbie was named the West Coast Conference Defender of the Year in her first year playing on the backline. She helped the Pilots to nine shutouts and a 17-3-1 overall record, while also scoring eight goals and four game-winners.
Frisbie, who originally hails from McKinney, Texas, was also named to the NSCAA All-West Region First Team, as was teammate and fellow senior Ellen Parker. Seniors Erin Dees and Micaela Capelle landed on the all-west region second team, while midfielder Allison Wetherington, who was named the WCC's Freshman of the Year, was an all-region third team selection.
