PORTLAND, Ore. --- Alex Kosinski will be joining the women's cross country/track & field coaching staff announced head coach Ian Solof on Wednesday.
 
"We are thrilled to add Alex to our staff," said Solof. "She has an amazing running resume and really wants to give back to the sport. She will help elevate the competitive perspective of our team and also spread her excitement about running. Besides day to day practice duties, she will play a significant role in west coast recruiting."
 
Kosinski graduated from the University of Oregon in 2012. While at Oregon she was a seven time All-American, a Pac-12 champion in the 10,000 meters, NCAA West champion in cross country, and holds the school record in the 5,000 meters.
 
"I am grateful for the opportunity University of Portland has provided me to join their staff and begin my coaching career," said Kosinski. "I hope my experience as a former cross country and track athlete will make me a positive addition to the team."
