STANFORD, Calif. – Portland completed its participation on Sunday at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, hosted by Stanford at the Taube Family Tennis Center. The doubles tandem of Emily Soares and Anna Oberg reached the Round of 16, but were knocked out of the main draw in the morning.

Portland's tandem won its first two matches of the tournament, but fell to Graciela Rosas and Domonique Garley of Gonzaga by an 8-5 margin.

Senior Radina Dimitrova had a solid day in consolation action. She pulled out a three-set win against Eastern Washington's Madeline Lamoreaux and then teamed up with junior Jelena Lukic for an 8-1 doubles win versus Rylee Braeden and Yasmin Mansouri of Eastern Washington.

ITA's Northwest Region schools are comprised of the following: California, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Stanford and UC Davis.

The Pilots will return to action at the Bulldog Invitational in Spokane, Wash. on Nov. 2-4 for their final fall tournament.
