NCAA West Regional Results
COLFAX, Wash --- The Portland Pilots women's cross country team claimed sixth place in the team scores in a competitive 6K race on Friday morning at the NCAA West Regional Meet.

Portland had two runners place in the top 25 and receive All-West Region honors, including redshirt-sophomore Anna Pataki and sophomore Emma Jenkins. Pataki finished in ninth place, while collecting a new personal record of 20:07.3. Jenkins came in 24th place at 20:35.6.Â

Jasmine Fehr and Maddy Lyons also collected new PRs, with times of 21:03.6 and 21:15.4, respectively. Grace Perkins rounded out the scoring for Portland with her time of 21:27.4 for 87th place. Sofia Castiglioni (21:29.0) and Victoria Weir (22:25.1) also finished well for the Pilots.

The Portland women placed fifth last year at the NCAA West Region in 2019 to earn their second ever at large big to the NCAA National Meet. If the team is awarded an at-large bid by the NCAA committee, this will be the third time in Pilot history that the women will compete at the national meet. The NCAA XC Nationals' selection show will air tomorrow, Nov. 16 at 2:00 p.m. (PT) on ncaa.com.

The top two teams at the NCAA West Region meet earn automatic bids to the NCAA Championships. The top 25 individuals at the meet make up the All-West Region team.

The NCAA Championship meet is set for Saturday, November 23 in Terra Haute, Ind.Â
