• The Pilots, who have won four straight games, travel to San Diego, Calif., for their lone West Coast Conference match of the weekend, which is against the San Diego Toreros on Saturday night.

LAST WEEK
• The Pilots won their two games at home last week, shutting out both Gonzaga and San Francisco at Merlo Field.
• During a 3-0 win over the Bulldogs on Wednesday night, all three Portland goals came in the first half.
• Rey Ortiz scored a goal and collected an assist, while Alejandro Pereira and Luke Hendel also scored for the Pilots.
• On Saturday against the Dons, Gio Magana-Rivera scored the game's only goal in the second minute as the Pilots won 1-0 on Senior night.
• Saturday's match was the final regular season home game for the Pilots, who honored their six seniors with a pre-game ceremony.

ABOUT THE PILOTS...
• The Pilots have won four in a row and have recorded three straight shutouts.
• Portland has not allowed a goal since conceding one to Cal in the second half of their non-conference match on Oct. 22, a stretch of 292 consecutive minutes.
• The Pilots are the top defensive team in the WCC, allowing a conference-low 0.65 goals per game, which ranks 11th nationally.
• Portland is also tops in the league and No. 8 in the country with a .825 save percentage.
• Portland has allowed only 10 goals this year, which is tied with Saint Mary's for the fewest in the WCC.
• Junior goalkeeper Nico Campuzano ranks seventh in the nation with a .822 save percentage, and he's 16th in GAA (0.70).
• Rey Ortiz and Jacobo Reyes are tied for third in the WCC with five assists each; Reyes is fifth with 11 points.
• Luke Hendel and Alejandro Pereira are tied for fifth in the league with four goals.
• Hendel was named the WCC Player of the Week on Oct. 6 after registering the game-winner during a 2-1 victory over UC Riverside (Oct. 4) at Merlo Field; Hendel also earned Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week Honorable Mention recognition.
• Earlier this season Hendel landed on the TDS Team of the Week after scoring both of Portland's game-winners against George Washington (Sept. 6) and Davidson (Sept. 8).
• Freshman Delentz Pierre became the second Pilot this season to land on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week after scoring his first career goal and helping secure a 3-1 win over CSUN (Sept. 20).
• The six goals scored by the Pilots during a 6-0 win over Davidson on Sept. 8 were the most scored by a Portland team since 2002 when they also won by a 6-0 margin (vs. DePaul); six different Pilots accounted for each of the six goals.
• Offensively, the Pilots have out-scored their opponents 24-10, and 11 different players have scored a goal.
• The Pilots have 23 assists on their 24 goals.
• For the second straight season, senior midfielder Rey Ortiz was named to the Preseason Watch List for the MAC Hermann Trophy, which is awarded annually to the best collegiate player in the nation.
• Ortiz, who collected three goals and three assists in limited action as a junior, was also named to the All-West Coast Conference Preseason Team, as was senior midfielder Gio Magana-Rivera.
• Portland's 2019 recruiting class was ranked ninth in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer; the 10 newcomers are the program's third straight top-10 recruiting class.
• The Pilots received a first-place vote and were selected to finish second in the WCC this season by the league's eight head coaches.

THE OPPONENTS
• The San Diego Toreros are currently receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll.
• The Toreros have lost four straight games, and they've out-scored their opponents 32-20 this season.
• USD ranks 19th nationally with 33 assists, they're 24th in points per game (6.06), and they're No. 30 in scoring offense.
• Senior Miguel Berry is third in the country in total points (35), he's eight in goals (14), and he's 18th in game-winners (4); he's also second in the WCC with seven assists.
• Redshirt-sophomore keeper Matt Wiher has played every minute in goal, and he has a 1.23 goals-against average and a .688 save percentage.
• Brian Quinn is in his second year as head coach of the Toreros.

THE STAFF
• Head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt is in his fourth year at the helm of the Pilots.
• In his first year on The Bluff he led Portland to an improbable turn-around en route to the 2016 WCC title and an NCAA Playoff berth.
• It was the program's first WCC Championship since 2002, and it was their first trip to the NCAA postseason since 2009.
• In 2016 Carlin-Voigt became the program's first WCC Coach of the Year since Clive Charles in 2002.
• Carlin-Voigt, who came to The Bluff from UCLA in 2016, was named one of the Top 10 American Coaches under 40 by Top Drawer Soccer in 2017.
• Joining Carlin-Voigt on the staff are first-year assistant coaches Ben Zemanski and Austin Nyquist.
• Zemanski entered the coaching ranks after a lengthy MLS career, which featured a five-year stint and an MLS Cup with the Portland Timbers.
• Nyquist was previously the Pilots' director of performance analysis.
• Assistant coach Emerson De Oliveira is in his fourth year with the Pilots, and he was recently elevated to the program's director of goalkeeping.
