PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland junior goalkeeper Nico Campuzano was selected to the West Coast Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, while five Pilots overall earned recognition, it was announced on Tuesday. This is the first league all-academic honor for Campuzano.

Campuzano has a 3.65 cumulative GPA and he's majoring in computer science. He was among the nation's leaders for most of the season in both goals-against average and save percentage, and he registered five solo shutouts, which ranked second in the WCC. He finished the season with a GAA of 1.16 and a save percentage of .750.

Earning WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention for the Pilots are seniors Esteban Calvo and Francesco Tiozzo, junior Caua Soares, and sophomore R.J. Stretch.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to his team.
