SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The Portland men's tennis tandem of Eleftherios Neos and Tom Hann have been named the West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Neos and Hann provided the clinching doubles point with a 6-3 win Sunday at No. 1 doubles against the Eastern Washington tandem of Jeremy Field and Mikayel Khachatryan. The doubles point proved to be pivotal as the injury-riddled Pilots would go on for a
4-3 team victory.
The Pilots (5-6) have now won four of their last five dual matches. The team will take a nearly two-week break from match action before travelling to Sacramento for a neutral site meeting with Yale on March 16 and then taking on Sacramento State on March 17.
The Pilots will then return focus to West Coast Conference play by hosting BYU on Saturday, March 23.
