PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots women's soccer program is adding transfer Gabi Brummett, a forward who will have two years of eligibility remaining after beginning her collegiate career at Duke. Brummett scored one goal in 15 appearances last season for the Blue Devils.

"Gabi reads the game very well which constantly puts her in advantageous positions to recognize opportunities to combine with her teammates, execute a final pass to play a teammate in, or finish on goal. She possesses an undeniable love for the game and desire to grow as a player."
Brummett also made one start for Duke last fall, and her goal came against Lipscomb in the NCAA playoffs. She also appeared in 18 games during her freshman campaign.
A native of Bow, N.H., Brummett was the No. 25 recruit in the country coming out of the Derryfield School. She was listed as No. 1 recruit in the Northeast Region, she was named to the 2016 American Family Insurance All-USA Preseason Girls Soccer Team, and she was a 2015 All-America selection. Brummett set the New Hampshire girls soccer state scoring record with 226 goals, and she was Gatorade New Hampshire Girls' Soccer Player of the Year in 2013, 2014, and 2015. She helped lead Derryfield to two New Hampshire Division IV State Championships.
Brummett, who attended the U.S. Soccer U-14 National Team training camp in 2013, played club for the FC Stars, and she was named one of the top 11 players at the 2016 ECNL National Training Camp. In 2015, she was selected one of top 11 players at the Nike National Training Camp, and she earned U-16 Best XI accolades at the ECNL National Finals. Brummett also led the U-16 league in goals, and she was selected to Super Y ODP Select First Team in 2013.
