NCAA West Regional Results
SACRAMENTO, CALIF.--- The NCAA West Regional meet continued on Friday in Sacramento for the Portland Pilots, with the only event for Portland being the men's 3000m steeplechase, featuring junior Henry Hayes, senior Noah Schutte, redshirt-sophomore Riley Osen, and senior Simon Grannetia.
Finishing first for the Pilots was Henry Hayes in 19th, who recorded a new personal best of 8:48.93 to tie for the 10th all-time record in the event. Riley Osen followed at 8:56.14, and shortly after was Simon Grannetia at 8:58.59, and Noah Schutte at 9:16.62.
Action continues for both the Pilots men's and women's teams tomorrow, including Taryn Rawlings in the 1500m quarterfinal at 6:30 PM, and runners from both squads in the 5,000m quarterfinals. Lauren LaRocco will be running at 8:05 PM, and Caleb Webb, Evert Silva, and Michael Teran-Solano are set to begin at 8:45 PM.
