PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland women's tennis team recorded a 7-0 sweep of Puget Sound to open the 2020 dual season on Friday at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center.

The Pilots (1-0) were dominant in doubles and singles play against the Division III Loggers (0-1).

Portland cruised to all three doubles victories to open the scoring. Marija Elenova and Raphaelle LeBlanc teamed up to win at love at the No. 3 position. Senior Emily Soares and junior Laura Okazaki clinched with a 6-1 win at No. 2, while senior Jelena Lukic and freshman Neli Sunjic were 6-2 winners at No. 1.

All six Pilots won their respective singles matches in straight sets. Elenova and Okazaki each won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions, respectively. Sunjic picked up her first collegiate dual win in her debut at No. 2 singles. Lukic, Soares and LeBlanc were also lineup winners for the Pilots.
