SEATTLE, Wash.--- The Portland Pilot's men's and women's track teams concluded their time at the UW Invitational, with a total of 12 personal records being recorded. Seven were posted in the Men's 1 Mile Run, including Evert Silva beating his old record by more than 10 seconds.

Portland had four Pilots place within the top fifteen of the Men's 1 Mile Run, Including Silva's performance placing him 7
th. Trent Mazelli, Justin Hazell and Bradley Peloquin joined Silva inside the top fifteen performers, with each Pilot recording personal records.
"The team did great, we seem to be well ahead of last year at this time", said men's track & field head coach Rob Connor. "The guys are working hard and really challenging themselves with big goals."

Competing in the Women's 3000 Meter Run, Stella Gillman, Anna Pataki and Veerle Bakker each recorded personal records. Gillman led the way for the Pilots, recording a time of 9:35.01.

In the Men's 3000 Meter Run, Caleb Webb and George Duggan both placed in the top 20, while recording personal records. Webb's 7:59.80 was his first 3000 Meter Run under eight minutes. Proud about his team's performance, Connor was happy with the two runner's performance. "Really happy Caleb broke eight minutes in the 3,000 and George (winning) his heat! The milers all ran PR's as well...great team effort."

The men's and women's teams return to the Bluff next weekend, for the Portland Indoor Two.
