PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland senior right-hander Christian Peters is the inaugural Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week after a dominating performance on the mound last Friday against Nevada. In 7.0 scoreless innings against the Wolf Pack, Peters scattered just four hits and collected a career-high 12 strikeouts to claim the win.
Peters also issued just one walk as the Pilots took the second half of the double header against Wolf Pack with a 13-0 shutout. Peters retired eight straight Nevada batters during one stretch, and he struck out the side in the top of the seventh, his final inning of work.
