Portland Indoor Two Results
PORTLAND, Ore--- The Portland men's and women's track teams concluded the Portland Indoor Two at the Chiles Center on Sunday, including several personal bests from both teams.

Tara Fuiten highlighted the day with a PR of 59.33 in the 400m dash, a time which puts her in fifth-place in program history.Â

Freshman McKenna Smith collected second place overall in the women's 3000 meter run with a new personal record of 10:06.72.Â

The women's mile run included new personal bests from Mckenna Cowan (5:15.76), Grace Ritchie (5:19.14), and Alexa Hague (5:19.68).Â

In the women's 800, sophomore Ellie Erikson garnered second place in a time of 2:18.25, with teammates Grace Oswin and Lauren Block following in fourth and fifth, respectively.
"McKenna Smith and Grace Perkins did a nice job in the 3K and Makenna Cowan improved a ton in the mile," said women's head coach Ian Solof. "Lauren Block also looked good winning her 800 heat from the front."

On the men's side, Peter Allegre led the way for the Pilots in the 3000 meter run, finishing in 8:28.72, and earning himself a 12 second improvement from his previous best in the event.

The men's mile also contained many improved times for Portland, in which nine Pilots collected new personal bests.
Â
"I thought the guys really competed well.  Very proud of their efforts," said men's head coach Rob Conner. "Everyone made positive progress so I think we will be good to go over the next couple of weeks. The meets just get bigger and better."

The Pilots head north to Seattle next weekend for the Husky Classic, beginning on Friday, February 14, and continuing on Saturday the 15th.
