PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots rowing team begins their 2020 spring season this weekend when they travel to the Pacific Lutheran Invite, which is scheduled for Saturday on American Lake in Lakewood, Wash.

The Pilots will race eight boats throughout the invite, beginning with the varsity eights competing at 9:07 a.m. against Pacific Lutheran and Seattle U.
 
Other crews racing include Pacific Northwest natives Puget Sound, Seattle Pacific, and Western Washington.

Amongst the eight boats racing will be a variety of Portland's eights and fours squads, with many different Pilots competing and gaining experience throughout the event.

This is the first of seven events scheduled this spring for the Pilots, who return to the water next weekend at the Sacramento State Invite. The 2020 West Coast Conference Championships are scheduled for May 16^th on Lake Natoma.
