WILMINGTON, Del. – Portland Pilots Rowing saw 10 athletes earn CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors on Friday, marking the fourth year in a row they've had at least 10 student-athletes honors. Claire Banasky, Tania Hernandez, Rachel Hester, Julia Kiplinger, Madi Quinton, Aneta Seböková, Molly Spraker, Bella Valenzuela, Massey Willis and Averie Zeally all earned honors.
To qualify for the distinction, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 GPA and be in at least their second year of eligibility, hold a 3.5 GPA or higher and compete in at least 75% of a team's competitions. They also must have competed in their respective conference championship or at the NCAA Championships.
Pilots rowing earned a win in the petite final of the WCC Championships to close out the 2026 season on top of wins at the Puget Sound Invite, the Sacramento State Invite and the Portland Invite. Hester and Veronica Conklin both earned All-WCC honors this season.
