University of Portland Athletics

In the fall of 2022, Portland Pilots Athletics completed construction on the Portland Boathouse, the home base for Portland Pilots rowing. Located in Kuffner Cove on the Willamette River, the boathouse is a highlight of Franz Campus. It's location on campus makes it one of the few boathouses for NCAA Division I programs located on the campus.

The Pilots began rowing out of the boathouse and the Corrado Family Dock in the spring of 2023. Along with housing all boats for the Pilots, the boathouse features a heated locker room, a cold plunge and an ice machine. The mezzanine features numerous ergs that aid the Pilots in warmups and cooldowns and serve as a valuable space for land practices.
