PORTLAND, Ore. --- University of Portland student-athletes had another stellar semester this spring as eight programs posted their highest combined team GPA in recorded history and a remarkable 52.3 percent of all student-athletes landed on the Dean's List. Overall, the Pilots combined for a 3.51 department-wide cumulative GPA, which is believed to be the highest ever.
 
"The University of Portland is extremely proud of the work our student athletes did academically this spring under extraordinary circumstances," University of Portland Vice President for Athletics Scott Leykam said. "Our student athlete academic performance this spring simply reinforces the emphasis that the University of Portland places on every aspect of their experience on The Bluff. I'd also like to thank the members of our Academic and Student-Athlete Development Staff for going above and beyond in supporting the academic endeavors of our student athletes this spring."
 
To land on the Dean's List, a student must be a full-time undergraduate, and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. 133 Pilots total landed on this prestigious list.
 
Additionally, 36 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, and an impressive 223 Pilots received better than a 3.0, which is 71.1 percent of all UP student-athletes.
