PORTLAND, Ore. --- University of Portland Athletics has released its 2020 schedules for fall sports, which includes men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, these schedules remain tentative and are subject to change at any time.
The University is waiting on final guidelines from state and county government officials regarding fan attendance at sporting events.
"At this time, we are planning to move forward with our schedules for the fall and the entire 2020-21 academic year," University of Portland Vice President for Athletics Scott Leykam said. "We're entering the early phases of voluntary individual workouts for a limited number of our student athletes later this month and look forward to welcoming all of our soccer and volleyball student athletes back for practice in early August. We are also awaiting guidance from county and state officials regarding spectator policies at events and will provide updates in those areas as soon as they become available. Our primary goal through the coming days, weeks and months is the safety of our staff, coaches, student athletes, supporters, and the entire University community."
