ESTACADA, Ore.---The Pilots No. 18 women's cross country team collected third at the Lewis & Clark XC Invite at Milo McIver Park on Saturday morning, and Ellie Erikson finished first for Portland in the 6K with a time of 22:15.5—notching 18th-place overall. Portland narrowly missed second-place by just one point in the team table.
Lacey Conner came in next for the Pilots in 25th-place at 22:28.7, and Anna-Sophie Meusburger 22:34.8 followed just behind in 22:34.8 to land in 27th. Teresa Perez (22:57.5), and Evelyn Collins-Winn (23:05.2), landed in spots 39 and 43, respectively to close out the scoring for the Portland women.
Makenna Cowan (23:22.7) and Alexa Hague (23:55.2) both ended the day with new personal bests in the 6K event.
The Pilots will have a week off before getting back on the course at the WCC Championships in Concord, Calif. on Friday, October 29th.
