PORTLAND, Ore.---The Pilots men's and women's track and field teams are headed to Corvallis on Friday and Saturday this week for the OSU High Performance Meet hosted by the Oregon State Beavers.

live results link for both days will be available at PortlandPilots.com, as no spectators will be allowed on the OSU campus during the weekend.

Nine of the Pilots women's sprinters will race first on Friday in the 200 meter dash, starting at 1:00 p.m. Then opening the next session of events at 5:15 p.m. will be McKenna Smith, Lacey Conner, and Grace Perkins in the women's 5000 meter run.

Paul Law will follow for the Portland men's team in the 5000 meter open contest, set to begin at 5:40 p.m. on Friday.

The Pilots are coming off of a two-meet weekend last week, competing at both the WOU Pop Up Meet in Monmouth and the Oregon Relays in Eugene, where five members of the women's team registered new Top-10 all-time program bests in their respective events.

Veerle Bakker collected the second-best time in program history at 10:19.61 in her debut in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase. Also making her first appearance in the women's 5000m, Anna Pataki claimed the sixth-best time in the UP record books at 16:09.14.

Maya Murphy-Cook nabbed second-place all-time in the women's 200 meter dash with a new personal best of 24.95, and fellow sprinter Tara Fuiten improved her previous PR in the women's 400 meter dash to 58.12, which remains the 10th-best finish in the event.

Newcomer Laura Pellicoro was the final Pilot to notch a new Portland record, clocking in at 2:09.42 in the women's 800m for fifth-place all-time.

Day two of the OSU High Performance Meet will continue on Saturday, with Konner Hathaway, Luke Wichmann, Parker Wilkerson, Jake Knoblich, Sully Nordheim, and James Parker first up for Portland in the men's 800 meter run, scheduled to begin at 2:40 p.m.

After this weekend, the Pilots men's and women's track and field teams will gear up for the UO Twilight meet back in Eugene on Friday, May 7, and the Portland Twilight meet on Saturday, May 8.
