PORTLAND, Ore.---Five members of the Pilots women's track and field team and five members of the Pilots men's team have qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships preliminary competitions, announced the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee.
 
The NCAA West Preliminary Meet will take place College Station, Texas from Wednesday, May 26th to Saturday, May 29th, with the NCAA Championships set for June 9-12 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
 
Representing Portland on the women's side, Anna Pataki has qualified for preliminary races in two different events at the regional meet, the 5000 and 10,000 meter runs.

Also competing is Laura Pellicoro, who will be featured in the women's 800 meter race, and Veerle Bakker, who is set to compete in the women's 3000m steeplechase event.
 
Both Sofia Castiglinoni and Stella Gillman have earned seeds in the 10,000 meter contest to round out the Pilots women's runners in the NCAA West Preliminary Meet.
 
For the Pilot men, Caleb Webb will be seen in two events at the regional competition, including the 1500, and 5000 meter runs.
 
Cathal Doyle is lined up for the men's 1500 meter run prelims, and Michael Teran-Solano and Jacob Klemz have each nabbed a spot in the10,000 meter race to be held next week.
 
Riley Osen is the last Pilot set for competition at the West Preliminary, in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase.
