PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland volleyball team could not overcome a potent Toreros offense Saturday at home falling to San Diego in straight sets (13-25, 13-25, 18-25).
The loss dropped Portland's record to 8-8 overall and 1-4 in WCC play.
Jayde Harris finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Pilots attack. Portland got seven digs from Grace Zilbert to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-13. Portland trailed by as many as 12 points as San Diego never gave up the lead in a set that was knotted up zero times before the Toreros took control.
SET 2 | Portland then lost the second set 25-13 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Pilots fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Portland could not win set three and was swept by San Diego. The Pilots fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-18.
