PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots got goals from Kayla Adams and Isabella Yakel in a 2-0 shutout victory over Saint Mary's Wednesday here at Merlo Field. The victory improved Portland's record to 10-2-4 overall and 4-2-0 in WCC play.
How it Happened
- Portland started the scoring when Yakel recorded her first goal of the season in the 39th minute. The goal is also the first of her career.
- The Pilots grabbed a 2-0 advantage on a goal from Adams -- her fourth goal of the season -- in the 53rd minute, assisted by Sophia Mattice and Katana Norman. The 2-0 score held to the end of the game.

- Adams' goal puts her in the team lead for goals with four.
- Bre Norris collected five saves for the Pilots out of seven total Gaels shots.
- Yakel is the 13th Pilot to score this year and the eighth time a Pilot has scored the first goal of their career.
