Claire Fagan finished closely behind Nielsen, closing on dozens of athletes over the last half of the race to finish 24th (21:13.7). The Pilot's fifth scorer was Sam Prusse who finished in 27th (21:15.6) after running a strong individual race from the middle of the pack.

Coach Ian Solof said, "The team ran great today. I was really impressed with their toughness and how engaged they were. Laura was amazing, Sam had one of her best races ever, and Claire stepped up in a huge way to come through for the team. It was a great team performance and just what we needed as we head to the regional meet in two weeks."
The Pilots will be back in action at the NCAA West Regional Meet, to be held in Seattle, Wash. on Friday, November 11th.
