STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Portland volleyball team lost to the Pacific Tigers in five sets (25-16, 28-30, 17-25, 27-25, 8-15) Thursday on the road at Alex G Spanos Center. The loss dropped Portland's record to 10-17 overall and 3-13 in WCC play.
The Pilots were led by a double-double from Jayde Harris, who registered 10 kills and 10 digs on the day. Charity Bradley also added 11 kills to help the attack. Bradley also pitched in with six in the contest. On the defensive end, Grace Zilbert chipped in for Portland with 13 digs to go with six blocks from Bradley.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Pilots earned a set-one victory 25-16 helped by a strong performance on the attacking side. Portland put together a .500 attack percentage with nine kills in the set victory. The Pilots ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza. Portland also supplemented their offense with five aces in the opening set.
SET 2 | Portland then dropped set two 30-28, evening things at a set each. The Pilots fought back from a 10-point 21-11 hole, but Pacific held on to take the set.
SET 3 | A third-set loss put Portland down two sets to one. The Pilots lost a tough set 25-17. Portland trailed by as many as eight points as Pacific grabbed the advantage for good at 16-15 in a set that was knotted up six times before the Tigers took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 4 | Portland broke their two set losing streak and forced a fifth set with a 27-25 victory in set number four. The Pilots persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured 10 lead changes and was tied 16 times. Neither team was able to grab a lead larger than three points along the way.
SET 5 | After dropping sets two and three, Portland won set four, knotting up the game at two sets apiece to force a fifth set, but couldn't complete the comeback, losing the set 15-8 and the match 3-2. The Pilots trailed by as many as seven points before losing the fifth set.
